The VT Pitch Competition will bring together the 10 finalists from the second cohort of VT startups to pitch their innovations for one last time in front of investors, press attendees, general audience members, and a panel of esteemed judges.
(22 October | Athens, Greece)
This event aims to foster networking and exchange between EIC top-notch suppliers and innovative procurers from the maritime and shipping industries. EIC beneficiaries will also have the opportunity to pitch their maritime innovations to a panel of experts in the shipping and maritime sectors.
VT’s Nevasoft Reaches $100k Pre-Seed Investment Milestone
Nevasoft, a Turkish startup semi-finalist from the second cohort of Ventures Thrive, has received a $100,000 investment at a $1.5 million valuation during the pre-seed stage. This means that Nevasoft has successfully achieved one of its KPI goals (‘Completing the $100,000 Investment Pre-Seed Stage’), as established during its Ventures Thrive experience, and set a key milestone in what is set to be a long and fruitful journey of growth.

The Commission’s EIC received 413 proposals for the 18 September 2024 deadline of EIC Transition calls. EIC Transition projects focus on results generated by EIC Pathfinder, FET or ERC Proof of Concept projects, to mature the technologies and build a business case for specific applications. Grants of up to €2.5 million are available to validate and demonstrate technology in application-relevant environment and develop market readiness.
The European Commission recently unveiled the six finalists of the 2024 European Capital of Innovation Awards (iCapital). The six cities now have a chance to become the 2024 European Capital of Innovation or the 2024 European Rising Innovative City. This milestone marks a decade of celebrating European cities that lead the way in delivering cutting-edge innovations that directly benefit their citizens.
