We’re less than two weeks away from the highly-anticipated Ventures Thrive Pitch Competition, and we’re buzzing to tell you all about it. As the VT team gets busy ironing out every last logistical detail, our dedicated startup finalists are hard at work, polishing their pitches.
So, whether you’re planning on attending the contest yourself or just curious about what our startups are up to, read on to get the low-down on the final event from this project.
The Pitch Contest will be taking place on-site at the Face Convention Centre in Bucharest, Romania, as a sub-event at the annual How to Web conference. The conference is expected to attract over 3,000 attendees, 500+ startups, dozens of speakers.

The Ventures Thrive Pitch Competition will bring together the 10 finalists from the second cohort of VT startups. Though all based in Europe and operating within the deeptech ecosystem, the startup finalists are developing technologies pertaining to a variety of subsectors, including but not limited to health, medicine, energy, and agriculture and waste.

The 10 finalists will be pitching their innovations for one last time (at least during their VT journey) in front of investors, press attendees, general audience members, and of course, a panel of esteemed judges.
During their given time slots, the finalists will attempt to convince the judges of their team’s competencies, their innovation’s expected impact, and their business model’s effectiveness, amongst other things.
By the end of the competition, the three best-performing startups will take home the top prizes up for grabs: €15,000 (first place), €10,000 (second place), and €5,000 (third place).
